Testosterone, also known as testosterone, testicular hormone, or androst-4-en-17β-ol-3-one, is a potent steroid hormone with the molecular formula C19H28O2. Predominantly secreted by the male testes and female ovaries, with minor contributions from the adrenal glands, testosterone plays a critical role in maintaining muscle strength and mass, bone density, energy levels, and overall vitality. It's indispensable for the synthesis and secretion processes in the testes, and its production is not limited to reproductive organs, with the adrenal glands also contributing to testosterone synthesis.
Maintaining healthy testosterone levels is crucial for overall health. Insufficient levels can increase the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease. Optimal testosterone levels are particularly beneficial for strength training, muscle building, and athletic performance.

Applications of Testosterone
PS Chemical Consortium has successfully industrialized the production of testosterone and its derivatives. We have developed an innovative method for refining crude testosterone prepared through biological processes. The process includes mixing dry crude testosterone with alcohol, heating to dissolve the crude product and precipitate denatured proteins, adding activated charcoal as a filter aid, and then filtering and washing the filtrate. The filtrate is then processed to recover alcohol and crystallize pure testosterone. This method achieves high purification standards with less than 0.15% K impurities and 0.05% A impurities, compliant with the latest EP10.1 standards, and a product yield of over 93%. Moreover, we have created a sustainable and efficient synthetic method for testosterone. This involves dissolving androstenedione in a solvent mixture, cooling, reacting with potassium borohydride, and then recovering the solvent and recrystallizing the product to achieve high-purity testosterone.
At PS Chemical Consortium, environmental protection is paramount. We have designed a specialized wastewater treatment device for testosterone production, featuring a reaction tank and a stratified water removal device. This system, equipped with a vacuum pump, effectively treats wastewater.
